Which COVID / Infection control protocols are currently in place?Since all COVID regulations has been dropped, no more mask wearing is required, but I will still provide sanitizer and you are welcome to bring your own towels / linen for hygienic purposes if you prefer to do that. Other infection control principles remain in place to ensure good hygiene – handwashing, using alcohol-based spray to clean the equipment and the use of gloves and disposable linen savers. I would also appreciate it if you inform me beforehand if you experience any symptoms - for example, cold, flu diarrhea etc - in this way we can decide whether it is better to postpone your appointment and not risk infecting other patients / clients who are immune compromised.

What do I need to bring for my first appointment? There is nothing that you need to bring for the appointment, unless you prefer to bring your own two towels and sheet for infection control purposes. Please ensure that you have completed and sent back the 3 forms sent to you via email: Patient details form Consent form Evaluation form Please let me know if you have not received these forms after booking your first appointment.

Is it possible to have an online session for the first consultation?I can do an online session where possible if patients prefer that or if you need an initial session just to get you started with the exercises until we can arrange a contact session. At the 1st session a lot of time is spent on your evaluation and making sure that I have all the relevant information to be able to treat you in a holistic manner. I also do a lot of education on anatomy and getting the correct building blocks in place so that we can start your rehabilitation programme. It is difficult to do a physical assessment online and therefore we will probably need a contact session after the 1st appointment.

What happens when I need to cancel my appointment?Cancellation Policy - Most of my appointment sessions are at least 60 min long. Sometimes an initial consultation might take a bit longer, especially if the patient has a complex presentation. I have a Cancellation Policy in place as my diary can be quite fully booked and it helps to accommodate patients on the waiting list if you cancel in advance. Cancellations can be done on the online booking system, but I would appreciate a whatsapp as well so that I know about it in advance. Please respect my time and cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment. In the event of a same day cancellation, every effort will be made to fill the slot (no charge), but if I am unable to fill the appointment at short notice, I reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of R600. If you don't keep an appointment I reserve the right to charge the full fee.

If you need an appointment outside of the available times, please discuss it with me to see if we can arrange a suitable time.

There are 3 different payment options available: If you book and pay online before the appointment, the session will cost R900.00 If you prefer to pay via EFT / cash after the appointment, the session will cost R950.00 (Please note that I do not have card facilities. Additionally, if you choose to make a cash deposit into my bank account, there is extra banking costs of R60 added from the bank, so do an EFT if possible) If you prefer for me to submit an invoice to the medical aid after the session, you are accountable for the amount not covered by the medical aid.
